Hotel U Zlate Studne (At the Golden Well) is located in the picturesque area of the Lesser Town, right beneath the walls of the Prague Castle. It is surrounded by the beautiful Valdstein Gardens from the Baroque era on Prague's left bank of the Vltava river. Legend has it that this 16th century Renaissance building was purchased by the famous astronomer Tycho de Brahe from Emperor Rudolf the 2nd himself.

The hotel, its restaurant and terrace all offer stunning views of Prague, as well as ancient surrounding rooftops and the Petrin Gardens, where you can spot "the Czech Eiffel Tower". Built in 1891, just two years after the "real" la Tour Eiffel, the Petrin lookout tower is a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike. Situated at 324 meters above sea level, it offers the second highest vantage point to overlook Prague, behind Zizkov Tower on the other side of the Vltava river. The height of the Petrin Tower is 60 meters and the top lookout point is at its 55 meter level.
