Hotel U Zlateho Jelena (At the Golden Deer) is ideally situated in the middle of the city's Old Town district, just outside Old Town Square and its famous Astronomical Clock. Located in a historic building which dates back to 1366, the remains of a chapel were discovered in the hotel's cellars.

All major historical and cultural attractions are within a short walking distance. On Old Town Square you'll find not only the aforementioned clock, but also Old City Hall and across the square the breathtaking Church of Our Lady in front of Týn, with its many towering spires. Close behind the square is the Pinkas Synagogue and Old Jewish Cemetery where Rabbi Lowe - the creator of the famous Golem creature - is buried. St. Wenceslas Square and the imposing National Museum are a short walk away. Within a few hundred meters is the Vltava river and beautiful Charles Bridge; the late gothic Prašná Brána, (Powder Tower) formerly used for gun powder storage; and the Obecný Dům, (Municipal House) Prague's most prominent Art Nouveau building featuring several restaurants, cafés and a concert hall.

Cafés, pubs and bars are too numerous to list. Local churches offer classical concerts for your enjoyment; or you can visit the world famous Black Theatre or the National Theatre, both of which are close by. There are no limits to choices of entertainment.
